always, always bring a Capo to your recording dates. When the part that your playing
is written in E and the producer wants a swampy, Delta feel to the guitar part
– but the temperamental singer wants to take it up a half step – you can instantly
transpose by slapping the Capo on the first fret. Now you have all the open string
positions available to you as if it were still in E and you didn’t waste anybody’s
time.
