| Here’s
another exercise that I do. This one is designed to improve manual dexterity in
the hand that you use to fret your guitar. Begin with your first finger on the
first fret of the low E string, As soon as you have completed the first four notes,
move your first finger up one fret and begin the next series without pausing. E— B— G— D— A— E—1-3-2-4-2-4-3-5-3-5-4-6-4-6-5-7-5-7-6-8-6-8-7-9-7-9-8-10-8-10-9-11-9-11-10-12 Now
do it down… E— B— G— D— A— E—12-10-11-9-11-9-10-8-10-8-9-7-9-7-8-6-8-7-5-7-5-6-4-6-4-5-3-5-4-3-4-2-4-2-3-1 Once
you have finished with one string, move on to the adjacent string (in this instance
it would be the A string. After the A, the D, etc…) Remember, play each note clean;
speed will come with time. This ones a bear, so keep on mind: no pain no gain! |
