Many
of us guitar players have a multitude of EQ-ing options available to us, both
live and in recording situations. We have the EQ on the guitar, on the Amp, on
whatever off-board effcts units we may use. Then we go into the studio and everything
changes – or so it seems. We get confused/dismayed at the extreme variety of EQ-ing
options now available to us, on the board, in the rack of effects, etc. Here’s
a tip: start at the beginning and work your way forwards. Start with the guitar.
Then move to the amp. Then move to your off-board effects. Get it to where you
are happy with the sound – and then stop. You got it. Don’t second-guess yourself. |
